Evaluating H2020 research projects

Helena Imminga-Berends has been an independent evaluator of research proprosals that have been submitted to the European Commission, requesting funding.

In the new EU Research and Development programme (Horizon 2020 = H2020) there is much greater attention, than in earlier Framework Programmes, to imbedding social sciences and humanites (SSH) in all research activities. Besides “Excellence” as an evaluation criterium, “Impact”of the project is now also an important selection criterium, besides “Quality and effiency of the implementation.

To clarify the SHH elements in the H2020 programme and the evaluation criteria, an interesting information meeting was organised by NethER and RVO on 18 February 2016 in Utrecht.
